My latest Obsession -- TASSELS!

I really, REALLY adore Tassels. Hang them from lamps, door knobs,  dressers, bedposts, they can beautify almost any piece of furniture.  Tassels are an easy and inexpensive way to add character to any room.

Isn't she Pretty.

How could you not love this?

Unfortunately, these aren't for sale, but this one is

And so is this one, plus a few more, they have a really pretty red one, but it just doesn't match my decor.

I purchased these at 15% off, woo hoo! The green one is going to live on the armoire the Master Bedroom.  And I think I the blue one will perch its self on the china cabinet in the Dining Room.  I will add pictures once I get these little fellows home safe and sound, hopefully it will be some time late this week. Click Here to get yours.

Atmospheric

After discovering a post by The Nester I was inspired to repaint my kitchen cabinets off white.

Just a small sample of the cabinets in our kitchen.

But because our home was built just over a year ago and I considering this project would entail painting 23 drawers and 36 cabinet doors. My husband and I decided that wouldn't be the smarted idea, Read: Even though I begged and pleaded the best I know how, my husband said absolutely not.

And that is okay because in the midst of my pouting I realized I didn't necessarily want to paint my cabinets, what I really wanted to do was paint something, anything.

My unsuspecting victim: our formal living room.

The color we used was Atmospheric from Benjamin Moore's Aura Line. It's suppose to by their "green paint" less chemicals, bad smell, + easy application, fast drying and so on. It wasn't the most inexpensive paint by far at $59.99 but the color is stunning and all of the claims above are true except for the smell. I would prefer the strong "paint" aroma over the light Elmers glue odor I smelt while painting. But I also like the stench of paint, I'm weird like that.

Before: Drab cream colored walls

Now: Atmospheric

I am quite proud of the finished product. Now if only I could add these for the finishing touch.
