I love the 4th of July almost as much as I adore the 25th of December. And my favorite part of the 4th is running the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta.
Before: 2009 Peachtree crew minus Maureen The Peachtree is the the worlds largest 10k, and there is no doubt when you find yourself running 6.2 miles, elbow to elbow with your closest friends and neighbors.

This is our 8th year running as a family, and it's become sort of a tradition to ad new victims each year. Emily, my brothers ladee joined us for her first race. She did pretty well I must say.

Mom, Me, Emily and Maureen, I Have no clue who the guy in the red shirt is We really did have a great run, the humidity was low and the weather was absolutely beautiful. Now if only I can fix the date on the camera so there is proof that we actually ran on the 4th of July 2009 and not May 12th 2008.

I have a friend who runs that race every year. Me...I think I'd pass out!!
